This role ensures every table, lane, raffle, camera, and operation is properly staffed and supported—without burnout, confusion, or chaos. Volunteers are the heartbeat of the event. When they are prepared, supported, and appreciated, the entire rally flows with ease and intention. This role balances logistics with humanity—structure with compassion—ensuring volunteers feel confident, safe, and proud to serve.

What is the Volunteer Director?

Donna Goff is a lifelong resident of Lakeland, FL with over 25 years of business ownership and leadership positions. Happily married to Mike Goff, together they have 4 amazing adult children and 9 beautiful grandchildren. Mike is the owner of Goff Roof Systems for over 40 years and a proud sponsor of Ride Out of the Darkness®.

“I am passionate about my family, faith, and friends and a commitment to serve our wonderful community. Losing my mother to Alzheimer’s and more recently my sister to diabetic complications is a profound double-grief. Both medical illnesses took a toll on their mental health, as well as those closest to them, robbing you of the person you love before they are actually gone. To be an ally, volunteer and friend to the mental health awareness community provides a way of channeling grief and connecting to others. I ride in honor of both my mother and sister”.

Donna and Mike’s favorite pastime is riding with friends, traveling and RVing at state wide bike fests, and attending many different bike nights. “I look forward to attending bike events, jeep events and car shows while meeting and recruiting volunteers for this amazing mission. Come join us!”
