VOLUNTEER OPERATION ROLES
These roles support the heart of the Ride Out of the Darkness® event by ensuring volunteers are prepared, supported, and cared for throughout the planning process and on event day. Volunteer Operations leaders help create a smooth, organized, and positive experience for everyone involved. All Volunteer Operations roles are 12-month commitments designed to support steady monthly planning and seamless execution on event day. Time commitment varies by role.

Volunteer Operations Role — 12-Month AssignmentROLE PURPOSE
Oversees volunteer scheduling to ensure all roles, shifts, and time blocks are fully covered before and during the event.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Builds and maintains the master volunteer schedule
• Assigns volunteers to roles and shifts
• Coordinates coverage for cancellations or changes
• Communicates schedules clearly to volunteers and team leads
• Supports day-of schedule adjustments as neededTIME COMMITMENT
