What is the Media & Communications Director?
The Media & Communications Director oversees all storytelling, publicity, and outreach for the Ride Out of the Darkness® event and its hosting chapter. This role ensures that every post, video, press interaction, and written communication reflects the Love Surrounds You® voice—authentic, hopeful, inclusive, and unifying. This position serves as the bridge between the heart of the mission and the public, translating purpose into clear, consistent messaging that builds awareness, trust, and connection.
Alexandra Mrozek is a U.S. Air Force combat veteran, marketing professional, and passionate advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Her journey is rooted in both service and personal experience—having faced her own battles with mental health and losing friends and loved ones to suicide, this mission is deeply personal.
Through her military service and life beyond it, Alexandra has witnessed the silent struggles many face—struggles that often go unseen, unheard, and unspoken. These experiences have fueled her commitment to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and creating space for honest, meaningful conversations.
As the Media & Communications Director for Ride Out of the Darkness®, Alexandra leads the voice behind the mission. She is dedicated to sharing stories that matter, amplifying the message of hope, and expanding the reach of a community built on love, remembrance, and support. Through storytelling, digital media, and community engagement, she works to ensure that no one feels alone in their darkest moments.
In her professional career, Alexandra brings a strong background in marketing, communications, and relationship-building. She combines strategy with authenticity—using her skills to grow awareness, strengthen connections, and drive impact for causes she believes in.
Beyond her work, Alexandra is a rider and advocate who stands for those we’ve lost and those still fighting. She believes in the power of community, the importance of showing up for one another, and the truth that even in the darkest moments—love surrounds you.
