Most roles involve consistent planning and coordination throughout the year, with increased activity leading up to the event.

  • ROLE TYPE
    Media & Communications Support Role — 10–12 Month Assignment

    ROLE PURPOSE
    Builds and maintains relationships with local and regional news outlets to secure coverage of the Ride Out of the Darkness® event and Love Surrounds You™ mission.

    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
    • Identifies and contacts local TV news channels
    • Shares press information and event updates
    • Coordinates interviews and media requests
    • Tracks outreach and responses
    • Supports media presence on event day as needed

    TIME COMMITMENT
    10–12 month commitment
    • Average 1–3 hours per month
    • Increased outreach closer to event

    SUPPORT & STRUCTURE
    • Reports to Media & Communications Director
    • Uses approved messaging and press materials

    • Works closely with Media and Sponsorship leadership
