  • ROLE TYPE
    Travel Train Leadership Role — 10–12 Month Assignment

    ROLE PURPOSE
    Leads and coordinates a regional Travel Train, serving as the primary point of contact for riders traveling together to the Ride Out of the Darkness® event.

    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
    • Oversees planning and coordination of a regional Travel Train
    • Serves as main leadership contact for assigned region
    • Coordinates starting points, general timing, and communication
    • Works with Harley Dealership and Hotel & Lodging Coordinators
    • Supports safe, organized group travel
    • Communicates key updates to riders and leadership

    TIME COMMITMENT
    10–12 month commitment
    • Average 2–4 hours per month
    • Increased involvement closer to event
    • Event-day presence required

    SUPPORT & STRUCTURE
    • Reports to Travel Train Director
    • Leads regional Travel Train support roles
    • Supported by national templates and communication tools

    ROLE PURPOSE
    Builds relationships with Harley-Davidson dealerships to serve as Travel Train starting points, rest stops, or lunch stops.

    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
    • Identifies and contacts Harley-Davidson dealerships
    • Coordinates dealer participation as Travel Train stops
    • Communicates expectations and basic logistics
    • Builds long-term relationships with participating dealerships
    • Shares confirmed stops with Travel Train Captain

    TIME COMMITMENT
    10–12 month commitment
    • Average 1–3 hours per month
    • Light, consistent outreach
    • Increased coordination closer to event

    SUPPORT & STRUCTURE
    • Works under Regional Travel Train Captain
    • Supported by outreach messaging and templates

    • Maintains relationships with lodging partners
    • Updates leadership on confirmed lodging arrangements

    10–12 month commitment
    • Average 1–3 hours per month
    • Increased outreach closer to event

    SUPPORT & STRUCTURE
    • Works under Regional Travel Train Captain
    • Supported by outreach templates and lodging guidelines
